Would not recommend. The place is nice enough but...For 1 hour lesson trainers take 30mins to get people on the horses. Trainers purposely hold people back from learning so they get more money out of you. The people who work there always argue while working. I know people who have been getting lessons here for almost 5 years but get told they need to take it slow until they move on to learning more. In my opinion it's just not worth the money.

I have been attending Houston riding school for almost 30 years, and it remains exceptional. The instruction is expert, attentive, precise, and always tailored to individual needs. Safety is assured at all times. The horses are beautifully cared for and treated as valued members of the team. Mrs. Comrie keeps her finger firmly on the pulse - she knows everything that’s happening, so the school runs with quiet efficiency and genuine care. Anne is a truly exceptional teacher and an inspiration. Many long-standing clients, like myself, are treated as family, and we all affectionately refer to ourselves as “the Houston family.” Riding here has been a joy, a comfort, wonderful exercise, and first-class recreation. I would highly recommend this school to both beginners and experienced riders alike. An excellent and truly special place.

Very local riding school so was the first I thought of going to. Really efficient communication from instructors, I was asked first about my riding & what I'm looking to achieve, was told what I'd need to improve on and importantly also what I was doing well. Really good attention is paid to riders & I've only ever had good experiences here. My only complaint is that I can't afford to go more often & that's a me problem! I am also a novice rider and carry a lot of tension in my body; this is all accounted for & I know that here I am always treated with respect :) Would recommend Houston Farm riding school to anyone looking to start or improve on their riding!

This stables is neat and has nice horses. The 1 hour lesson took 15 mins to get everyone on the horses. Did not progress you at all and was kept at the same level. Evan with a private lesson where i was put back to the start on a lunge line. Is not good value for money.
