Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling are all within half an hour's drive, and Perthshire within an hour. Goose Cottage sits in converted farm buildings in the West Lothian countryside, surrounded by rolling fields but close enough to shops and restaurants that you won't need to venture far for supplies or meals. The location gives you a quiet base with easy access to explore further afield via public transport or motorway.
This two-bedroom cottage sleeps four. Downstairs, an open-plan living and dining space has a wood-burning stove, leather sofas and a picture window overlooking the courtyard. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, and from here you can step out into a private, enclosed east-facing garden with seating, garden furniture and a chiminea. Upstairs, one bedroom has a kingsize bed and the other two singles; both rooms have sloped ceilings and skylights. There is one shower room. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, along with initial logs for the stove. Off-road parking is available for two cars, and the cottage does not allow smoking.
A travel cot, highchair and stairgate can be provided if needed. The garden and sitting areas are peaceful and enclosed, making it a settled spot for a few days away from busier centres.
