Absolutely amazing site. The site was full but didn't seem crowded. They have thought of everything that you could want as a campervan or camper. The shared room is an excellent idea, with all the things you need plus some more that you wouldn't have thought of. Small shop on site. The bathroom / shower facilities are excellent (clean, tidy, well managed, and enough space to actually change in the shower cubicle. If you are up Edinburgh way and need a campsite a little further away , but only 10 mins from the tram park and ride(which is the best way to get into Edinburgh) then come to Linwater.

I have stayed at many, many campsites over the years as a hiker & backpacker. This site is the most clean, spotless tidy place you will ever see! Everything including the planting around the grounds is really well done. The kitchen and laundry were great. Everything has been well thought out and immacutely maintained. Even down to plenty of hooks to hang your clothes etc in the showers, appliances/cups/plates to use in the kitchen, the water filling taps that work without spraying you in the face 😆 and just loads of other nice little details. It's a relief to stay in such a lovely place, and I felt welcomed with my dog too. The shop has all the supplies (food, dog food, toiletries etc) you need for camping and is well priced. The tent pitch was enormous and very flat and not muddy at all despite recent rain. Thank you 😊

Lovely campsite, clean tidy and well laid out. As a bikepacker/cycle touring, with a one person tent it is a bit pricey. Facilities are great, small dining/kitchen area with microwave, air fryer, toaster, kettle and hob (one power socket for all these items is a bit inconvenient). No oven or fridge. A few pots and pans, plates and cups. There is a small Tesco shop about 1.5 miles away, cycling distance. Sussie on reception was extremely helpful and friendly.

Hats off to the cleaner!! The whole site was spotless, the lady who checked me in was very polite. The pitch was very level, well drained and mud free. The toilets and showers were immaculate! Would definitely stay again
