About Trossachs Pier
Perched right on the banks of Loch Katrine in the Great Trossachs Forest, this motorhome site occupies the pier's car park – but don't let that put you off. You'll have access to showers and toilets (small charge applies), wifi and a café dishing up breakfasts and lunches, plus bike hire if you fancy exploring the 40-mile Trossachs Trail that passes the door. The real draw, though, is the loch itself: passenger cruises depart regularly, including trips aboard the Sir Walter Scott steamship, which has plied these waters since 1900.
Hardstanding pitches come in various sizes, with or without electric hook-up, and while the setting lacks some of the frills of a traditional campsite, the location more than compensates. The surrounding Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park offers Munro-bagging, fishing, golf and plenty of walking routes – making this a cracking base for an active few days in one of Scotland's most scenic corners.
