Half Turn Cottage works well for couples or families after a proper seaside break without the fuss of a hotel. The property gives you the whole place to yourself: a ground-floor open-plan space where living, dining and kitchen blend together, two bedrooms upstairs (one double, one with bunks), and a bathroom with a bath and shower. Essentials like heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are covered; the kitchen has what you need to cook properly, from oven and hob to dishwasher.

You're positioned between the action and the quiet—the mews location keeps things peaceful, but Whitstable's pubs, restaurants and independent shops are yards away, and the seafront is just as close. The beach itself stretches for miles; the cottage provides a bucket, spade and crab line if you want to occupy the children or just occupy yourself. Entertainment is built in: books, DVDs, CDs and Xbox games fill the living space, where two sofas and a dining table give everyone room to spread out. One car can park on site. No smoking inside the property.
