TeamSport Indoor Karting Cardiff

This place is simply Brilliant!! Made so by the team…. Stay with me… My son has recently got into Karting and I have entered him into the BIKC. A championship, in September. Which means having to put 3 separate days fastest times in (qualifying laps) I Mentioned this to, Nathan, front of house, who came to find me just before my son was due to race. Nathan explained “there is a quiet session we can book you in on, moving our schedule session, where only he will be on the track meaning a stronger chance to get those all important quick laps in. Legend!!!!! Nathan spoke to Ayad - running the operations of the circuit - and put my son in a Kart that was at the front and told him to move forward (1st out). This was my son’s 1st race session of the day with 6 drivers on the session . Ayad said the next session is only him so we are going to keep him out giving him the track to himself perfect!!!! THEN!!! Two experienced staff drivers Kobie and James came over and said we are going out to give him some pointers, knowing my son has to get those quick qualifying laps in. My son shaved 3 seconds of his personal best… To be honest I felt a little overwhelmed with the support help and friendliness of the crew there. And Tomos “the cool dude” on safety marshal duty was a star. Fantastic place.. 5* Ben & Will

The team consisting of Aimee, Jon, Ellie, Ayad, Kiyunn, Filip, Harley, Scott and Waqui were outstanding and very accommodating. The event was brilliant. Filip gave an excellent brief. The Karts and Track are brilliant. I will definitely be visiting again.

Took my son for his 14th birthday and it loved every minute of it...the team were great and very helpful. My son also had a camera on his helmet so he could have the footage after he thought it was fantastic.

Yesterday my son and I visited Cardiff TeamSport as part of a tour of TeamSport venues across the country during a road trip, and the experience we had exceeded all expectations. Upon arrival, the manager (Gareth) openly explained the issues they were facing with the internet on site, which was impacting both registrations and cardless payments. We were advised that there may be insurmountable challenges to getting on track but were welcome to wait until such time as they were resolved. We went up to the bar to relax and await news while speaking to the affable and delightful Lilly. She offered us water and squash, as they weren't able to take payment for food or premium drinks, and kindly arranged permission for us to have Nando's delivered so we could continue waiting out the technical issues. It should be made clear that the staff were not only working hard in the background to resolve the problem but were also keeping everyone well informed and moving things along with regular updates and a caveated race briefing — which was exactly the right thing to do. Eventually, some workarounds were found and we were able to race. Even to this point, we'd already had an excellent experience — but the best was yet to come. The manager arranged for the visiting chief instructor, Ayad, to spend time talking my son and me through the track. The clarity and detail of his briefing was genuinely exceptional; he's a highly articulate and passionate educator and kart master, and the tips he shared gave our first few laps some much-needed structure. Once on track (just my son, Ayad, and me), he effectively gave my son a 1:1 coaching session — leading, following, and stopping to give tailored advice. The generosity he showed with his time and knowledge was genuinely moving, and it's what made our visit to Cardiff unforgettable. Special mentions also go to Harley and Max, whose relaxed and professional approach made the pre and post karting formalities smooth and enjoyable. Some marshals can be unwarrantedly officious, but these two knew exactly how to balance safety messaging with an enjoyable experience. We've visited countless TeamSport venues across the country, and we'll always naturally favour our home track — but our visit to Cardiff has left us recommending it to anyone who'll listen. Humans aside, the track itself is excellent fun, with a nice balance of technical corners and a fast, sweeping "monster drift" that's one of the most enjoyable stretches of track I've ever experienced. Finally, our sincere thanks to everyone mentioned above. If you read this, you'll know this review is genuine, and you'll always be fondly remembered. The only shame is that we live three hours away — but we'll be back!
