Lodge on a Lake

Had a fantastic 4 days here with my husband, he was fishing while I did the relaxing lol, but even if you don't come here to fish you can still have a relaxing break, stunning view of the lake every morning and a beautiful hot tub, what more could you wish for? The lodge itself it's a decent size and compact with everything you need. On arrival we came in and it was lovely and clean, sofa comfortable and it turns in to a bed which had fresh blankets on and a nice soft mattress. Decent size shower, lots of cutlery and cups, plates and dishes etc.. microwave and electric cooker, small fridge with a small freezer compartment. I will definitely book to come back here, so tranquil, there's also a small farm just down the road which was a nice place to visit, also you get a lot of wildlife visitors on your patio, we had Robins, Ducks and a Squirrel which just made it more beautiful.... Please try the Pub Cefn Mably Arms for a nice meal also literally less than a mile away from the lakes. Thank you Mr and Mrs Jenkins Osprey Lodge 11th - 15th May

We just finished 5 days stay in Osprey 25-29/05/2026. Couldn’t recommend it enough, the cabin was clean and tidy, decent value for money, well equipped. Fishing was great ! We had 15 runs and 11 fish landed, biggest one was 25lb 2oz, smallest 14lb 4oz. Ben checked us in and was very helpful throughout our stay, it was 32 degrees when we arrived for the week, and fish just finished spawning couple of weeks before our arrival, and we noticed one fish sadly passed away in the margins, we called Ben and he came within 2 minutes to remove the fish, and we also asked him if he could turn down the hot tub as it was too hot. He had resolved both issues within few minutes and gave us some tips on fishing. Couldn’t recommend staying at Cefn Mably enough, we will be back in the autumn.

Had a brilliant 3 night stay with the wife on skylark lodge, which is situated on bridge pond. The lodges are cracking, really well designed to fit everything you need in a small space. Each lodge has privacy and a hottub, which was super nice and hot. Fishing was very good, had 16 fish in the 3 nights, despite having quite a bit of downtime with the rods in. Sizewise they were all between 10 and 19lb. A number of fish had a bit of mouth damage... i understand it used to be barbless which would explain it, but micro barbed rule now, which i think is a good thing. Will definitely return!!

Another year done, spent a week in kingfisher, bit wet but finished hot, fishing a bit slow but still managed 5 fish and 1 lost 25lb, 20lb , 17lb, 14lb and a 12lb . lodge top class as normal, workers very help full.
