We had a great night clamping the site is clean beautiful and loved the site. Even on the rain the communal areas were great . Wild camping with the luxury of home, will be back with my children . We used it for some were to stay just out of Cardiff. We parked at local train station 4 mins from camp site and went in to Cardiff ,

Absolutely beautiful, amazing place, if heaven had a campsite it would be here. They have everything you need and more. The owners go above and beyond no matter what xxx Jordan is always around to answer any questions. We only come for 3 nights, and were on our 8th night because none of us want to leave. I only found out last year and its a hidden treasure.

OK this is going to be a harsh review so I will start with the positives. The location of the campsite is good, very close to the M4 and with enough local attractions to keep you busy, Cardiff is also nearby. The campsite was showing as fully booked for the days we stayed there, but even so there was more than enough space in the field for everyone. There's a river at one end of the field and trees on the other if you want shade. Facilities were good also, apart from the massive issue below. The free bottled water from the hosts was a noteworthy and very appreciated gesture. Now the downsides. The communal area power comes from solar panels, which is great during the day, but an hour after dark the backup batteries had ran out, so there was no power. And this was on a sunny day so best possible case for solar power, I imagine it will be worse if it is cloudy. This would not have been a big deal, but the water supply is via an electric pump, so no power=no running water, including for the shower, toilets, sinks, etc. This made washing up, brushing teeth, etc. quite a challenge, not helped by the fact that there are obviously no lights with no power either. There is a backup generator... that was out of fuel. Not great for a backup source of power. There's more, no power=no fridge in the communal area, so if you wanted to put your ice packs for your cool box in the freezer so they freeze overnight, well, too bad. It is also quite a noisy campsite with a railway on one side of the field and a busy road on the other, but there is not much that can be done about that and it was not a big problem for us. So in summary, this has the potential to be a great campsite but unless you do not care about having running water, or lights in the toilets, or a fridge after dark I can't really recommend it. My solution was to drive to Motto Cardiff West services to take a shower and brush my teeth there, but that is 15-20 mins away so not ideal.

What an amazing place to stay, its pure heaven and the owners are doing amazing. We went for 2 night but ended up staying 13 because it was so perfect 👌 The kitchen has everything u need so if you forget something you can guarantee its there. Toilets are immaculate, shower is so powerful and hot, they have a kids area that I loved aswel as my 12 year old and the baby. We had to go buy a kayak for the river Taff as it runs right next to the site. They really have thought of everything. I did notice a few reviews about the noise from the train which I found to be really relaxing and peaceful and my daughter loved them✌️ 😌 we camp alot and travel all around bit this place is by far the most looked after and they really have thought of everything from eye masks to earplugs the welcome boxes with huge marshmallows an sticks the little monkey drinks and cans. The detail is impeccable 👌 the beds in the teepee are so thick and comfortable all immaculate and really fresh. Very stylish toilet blocks and extra showers being fitted. This place is by far my favourite camp site and I have been to so many site❤️
