About Ty Mynydd Lodge
Cardiff's mix of city sights and nearby countryside makes it a handy base, and Ty Mynydd Lodge sits on Heol Isaf with Taffs Well close by and Weston Seaquarium among the local points of interest. It's an unassuming guesthouse rather than a polished hotel, with a cottage-style feel and a shared lounge where guests can mix rather than stay tucked away in their rooms.
Rooms are simple and informal, each with an en-suite bathroom and drinks available, and breakfast is included to start the day. Free WiFi, luggage storage and 24 hour reception cover the practical side, while free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward.
Beyond the lodge, guests have a golf course, pubs, bars, restaurants and other eateries within reach, along with entertainment nearby, giving plenty of options for evenings out without straying far from Cardiff itself.

On the 1st day we met Lisa the host who was amazing and friendly when we arrived we had our work van with us she offered to move her personal car from her personal space so we had a bigger space to park in once parked she gave us a very warm greeting showed us around and gave us some amazing recomdations for near by places for food ect. On the second day we went downstairs at 7:30 second Lisa saw us she sat us down and gave us several options of breakfast options both hot and cold I had a toasted bacon samwich was amazing and a pressed coffee all made fresh. On the 3rd day I went down at 7:30 lisa saw me and had a pot of coffee ready and offered hot options but I didnt really fancy it this morning and just wanted something light she offered to make me a bacon samich for on the go. I would 100% recomend staying here due to my overal experience not just of how tge host interacts with her guests and makes them feel at home but cause of the food and the amazing property and near by places. I will be comeing back again thats for sure

We chose this lodge for its great reviews and quiet location close to Cardiff, with parking as well. Lisa is a fantastic host — warm, welcoming, and instantly makes you feel at home. The room was comfortable, and well equipped, with a comfy bed, internet TV, and a lovely en-suite. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful.
