About The Cliff Hotel And Spa
The stretch of coast at Gwbert-on-sea, just outside Cardigan, gives The Cliff Hotel And Spa its outlook: open sea on one side and the Ceredigion countryside rolling away behind. It's the kind of setting where the view does a lot of the work, and the hotel makes the most of it, with the restaurant in particular making the most of those sea views over meals.
There are 70 rooms, all en-suite, with free WiFi and drinks available in room. Guests can expect spotless, comfortable accommodation backed up by 24-hour reception and a laundry service. The spa and indoor pool are well kept, and there's a gym on-site for anyone who wants to stay active between courses. The restaurant serves a varied menu, with the Sunday lunch singled out as a particular strength, and there's a bar for something more relaxed. Meeting rooms are also available for those combining business with the setting.
Outside the hotel, the surrounding area offers fishing, horse riding and a golf course nearby, along with pubs and restaurants within easy reach for those who want to explore beyond the hotel's own kitchen. Pets are welcome, and free on-site parking is provided, making it a straightforward base for exploring this part of the Cardigan coastline.

What guests say
The hotel is lovely. It's in such a peaceful location and very quiet around. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms could have done with a little touch up but in general were good quality. The restaurant and bar were well run and the food and drink were tasty. The spa was so tranquil and we were able to relax in it. We had a massage and the masseuses did a really good job at keeping us comfortable and working out the stress. We will definitely be coming back to the hotel for a short break again.

Just returned from spa break. Staff where really polite and helpful. Room was bit small but comfy. Spa was amazing. Spent an hour before massage. Unfortunately I couldn't have mine (recent operation) but my partner said it was great. Evening meal was really nice. Again staff where polite and helpful. The hotel itself had a really warm friendly atmosphere.. only down side was weather. I can imagine what it like there on a clam summers day. Amazing views. Had a good comfy sleep followed by a full English breakfast. Definitely recommend a stay

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. We booked a family room with sea view which worked very well. Unfortunately the spa was closed for refurbishment (with no concession from the hotel because it is complementary). Hotel is very nicely furnished throughout and well maintained. Amazing views - great to watch the sunset from the balcony. Quality of service was variable, with some members of staff being very helpful whilst others were less competent. This did not spoil our overall enjoyment of the stay. Would definitely come again.

We got married at The Cliff Hotel & Spa in May and couldn't have asked for a better venue. The setting speaks for itself, panoramic views over Cardigan Bay, and with the weather on our side it was stunning. Casey, our wedding coordinator, deserves a special mention. From our first meeting she took the stress out of the whole process and planned everything meticulously to make sure the day ran smoothly. She was brilliant. The food and service were excellent too our guests were still commenting on both by the end of the night, which is always a good sign! Would highly recommend The Cliff to any couple looking for a wedding venue in West Wales.
