Stayed for one night, looks nothing from outside, a sports bar full of locals but we heard no noise all night. Upstairs was bright and tastefully decorated throughout. Our bedroom was lovely and clean, nicely set out with kettle, coffee tea and biscuits with a fridge and bottles of cold water. Had a peaceful and comfortable nights sleep. A delightful en suite with a big shower and fluffy towels also individual soap, shampoo and shower gel. Power points for recharging mobiles both sides of the bed , hairdryer and a large TV. This room was equivalent to the smallest room at the two top hotels in Cardigan. Lovely breakfast in the morning, only requested scrambled egg on toast which was cooked perfectly, so all in all would stay here again without a second thought.

Lovely hotel and pub! Staff brilliant. Breakfast great. Good location to town. Room clean. Locals of the pub were fantastic company! Made our stay!

The pub and inn are nice but the staff make the place. Everyone was so welcoming and made us feel like longtime friends from the moment we arrived. We originally booked for one night but ended up staying for three, all because of the staff and locals. The rooms are perfectly clean, well heated, with a nice bathroom. The cooked breakfast was excellent with so much food that we weren't interested in eating again until the late evening. The clientele of the pub was such a welcoming group to a couple of US visitors that we were initially surprised, but we have since learned that it is just the Welsh way. The Red Lion was a random Google find for us, which will now be a lasting memory of our visit to Cardigan.
