Tucked into lush wooded countryside half a mile from Gelliwen, Morris is a fully self-contained shepherd's hut that delivers proper seclusion without skimping on comfort. Inside you'll find a kitchen, dining area, multi-fuel burner, shower and loo, plus a double bedroom with electric blanket – all the essentials for a cosy bolthole. Outside, a private garden with arbour seating and barbecue makes the most of those spectacular west Wales sunsets, while the surrounding woodland hums with life: tawny owls, buzzards, red kites and the occasional river otter for the sharp-eyed.
It's an adults-only, dog-free setup (ideal if you're after total peace), and while the remote feel is part of the charm, you're still only 25–45 minutes from beaches and seaside resorts, with riverside walks, wildlife parks and local artisan producers all close by. Stargazing here is exceptional – expect the Milky Way in full glory on clear nights. St Clears (10 minutes) covers essentials; cosy pubs await in Meidrim and Trelech.
