About LLety Cynin

Llety Cynin occupies a working farm setting on Llangynin Road near Carmarthen, and the mix of open, light-filled interiors with genuine agricultural surroundings gives it a character that's hard to find in a standard hotel. Spread across 13 rooms, the property keeps things simple but comfortable, with air conditioning, drinks available in room, and free WiFi throughout.

Beyond the rooms, guests have use of a restaurant and bar, a snack bar, and a garden to sit out in, along with practical extras like laundry service, luggage storage and business facilities. The standout addition is the leisure side of the property: an indoor swimming pool, gym, sauna and hot tub, all on-site, making it easy to unwind without leaving the grounds. Free on-site parking is also provided.

Carmarthenshire's countryside sits right on the doorstep, and the Gwili Railway nearby adds a bit of local interest for a day out. Whitland is roughly 5.86 miles away by road, making Llety Cynin a workable base for exploring the wider area while still returning to a quiet, farm-based setting each evening.

We visited this hotel for our anniversary and it was good. There were areas that make this hotel great but then there are areas where the hotel could improve to make the guest experience even better. The rooms at the hotel were clean and the complimentary biscuits, tea, coffee etc were a nice addition to the room. Shower and clean towels were great. We are in the restaurant for evening meal and it was very nice. We ordered halloumi fries and southern fried chicken strips to start which were nice. We ordered the seabass for main course and llety burger for main. Again both were nice. The breakfast in the morning was adequate, we ordered a full breakfast and eggs Benedict. Despite the full breakfast not being so big it was tasty and cooked well. My wife had a treatment at the spa (facial) and she said it was very good and worth booking. We used the gym while we were there and this was ok but the gym needed some music. It did have most equipment that we needed so overall quite good. Some areas that the hotel need to consider when advertising is the fact that it is on a working farm. The farmer had been muck spreading either on the day we arrived or the day before we arrived because it was quite pungent to the point where we had to shut the windows in the room. There was a fan put in the room though so that was a nice touch given the weather was quite warm. The pool area and changing room are in need of some tlc. Flooring, paintwork etc just needs updating/ a good clean. Perhaps to shut for 2 weeks to be able to blitz the renovations/ cleaning? This also applies to the outdoor seating area, e.g the exterior walls need painting and given some life. The restaurant needs some gentle background music. There were 2 other couples dining when we were there and you could hear conversations/ sound of cutlery on plates when sat there so can be a little awkward. After our meal we took our remaining wine outside and sat out in the front to enjoy the nice weather. Even though we were quite happy to relax and chat amongst ourselves if you're looking for something to do in the evening you'll be hard pressed to find something. Just some music coming through speakers would be a nice touch. Overall I would say it's a nice place to visit but just the 1 night was enough for us. I also understand that renovations/ cleaning takes investment but if the above points were actioned then those small details would make a big difference to a business like this. Thank you for our stay Llety Cynin.

10/10 service, rooms and food. We spent the night and made full use of the facilities - lovely surprise to find there was a steam room, sauna and jacuzzi and not just the huge pool! I would 100% return and this time book a spa experience and treatments! Rooms were lovely and the bathrooms were done to such a high standard, we even had a large fan in the room due to the heat which was a nice addition! The team went above and beyond and we all thoroughly enjoyed, thank you!!!

Took my granddaughter who is 5 for a break away. The staff and hotel are super. Staff super friendly and helpful. Hotel lovely, clean and decorated nicely. Restaurant food, quick, tasty and lovely staff. All in all we had a lovely stay, swimming was lovely when we got there and in the morning. If anything i would say is that it would have been nice if the play park was updated/mowed but I understand that its not quite season , and I am sure that it is lovely when it is . Just a great place and we will be back. The ladies who take your booking and are on reception are beyond helpful. Thank you Ladies we will be back soon I hope :)
