Picton House

Motorhome pitches at a restaurant near St Clears, Carmarthenshire; level, hard-standing site with showers.

About Picton House

Picton House is a pop-up campsite with motorhome pitches on hard-standing, level ground next to a restaurant. The site is tiny, with just a handful of pitches, each on smooth tarmac. You get showers on site and a picnic table, with a dog walk nearby if you are travelling with a dog – they are welcome all year round.

St Clears is just down the road, and the site's location means you can eat at the restaurant without moving your van far. The pitches are straightforward rather than scenic, but if you need a quiet spot with no steep slopes and hard standing to park on, this fits the bill. Dogs are welcome at any time of year.

Nice place, clean, tidy and accommodating. We turned up unexpectedly as a job overran, they were going out, and trusted us to serve ourselves at the bar. Normal service resumed for breakfast!

We had a lovely 6 night stay in the Coach House attached to the hotel, with our elderly dog. It was very quiet, with close parking and a view out over a horse field. The fenced garden was very practical for the dog and pleasant to have a coffee in. The accommodation was cosy and comfy and we liked having the option of using the pub/restaurant as well. There was plenty to see and do in the area. The owner was very reactive to any questions we had. We thought this was very good value.

In attendance for a wake but used to frequent many years ago when previous owners resided, great interior & the outside area sitting ideal for the sunny weather 😎

Travelling with a camper van, decided to stop overnight and have a bite to eat. It’s a grand house/ Old inn. It feels like a posh house however the owners who are really friendly make you feel really welcome. We had supper and the food, wow, glorious, gourmet quality (and not expensive). I would visit this place again, no hesitation
