The Brecon Beacons and Fforest Fawr Geopark sit on the doorstep, with high ridges for walking and river valleys for cycling or driving. Llandeilo and Llangadog are within reach for restaurants and shops. Red kites hunt overhead here, and the area holds several castles worth visiting, among them Carreg Cennen and Dinefwr.
Dolgoed House itself is a four-bedroom stone property with exposed beams, sleeping up to eight. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor, each with an ensuite bathroom; upstairs are two more, reached by a single step. All four have their own bathrooms. The main living space centres on a wood-burning stove, and there is a full kitchen with dishwasher and two fridges. Parking is available for four cars, and a bike store sits ready. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; wood for the stove is provided to start with, then charged at cost.
The property is non-smoking. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed. You arrive after 4pm and leave by 10am.
