Eco Retreats - The Berm
Carmarthenshire

The Berm is a single-storey property built into a hillside near Garnant golf club, designed to work with its surroundings rather than against them. Everything you need is on one level: a kitchen with electric oven, hob, dishwasher and washer-dryer; a sitting area with a wood-burner; a double bedroom with an en-suite shower and a roll-top bath positioned to face the garden; and a dining space. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and heating are all included. The property is yours alone, with parking for one car on site.
What sets this place apart is the garden. A spring-fed pool filtered through plants sits on the decking to the south, alongside an electric sauna with views down the river. The glass walls capture south-facing sun, and the grass-covered roof helps retain warmth. In the evening, there is a firepit for stargazing. One dog stays free. Smoking is not permitted inside. The rural location near Ammanford offers genuine quiet; the sound of running water from the nearby river is part of that peace rather than an interruption to it.

Amazing, beautiful stay at the Love Nest. Wood burning hot tub with jets, great touch. The whole place was great and full of nice touches to make the stay even better (ice, wine cooler, garden tv and hanging chair, robes for hot tub). We spoke to Gemma on the phone during our stay to arrange late check in and she was so accommodating and lovely. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

Booked for 3 days, 2 nights in the lavender lodge. The location is great, lodge itself is well furnished which makes the stay a lot more comfortable. The hot tub and sauna are amazing, easy to use and it’s a great way to relax. However, the shower became ice cold after 2 days. The parking can be a bit awkward as only 1 lodge has actual allocated parking, every other one has to park on the road just outside the lodge which is not a problem in my eyes, but may cause a struggle for others as the lodges are on a quite steep road. The main reason it’s a 3.5 - 4 out of 5 stars is due to the check in and check out times. If you book for the weekend (Friday - Sunday) you only really get 1 actual day at the lodge as you can only gain access to the lodge past 4PM on the day of your booking, and have to leave by 10 AM on the final day of your booking, but you will have to pay full price as if you’re staying there all 3 full days and 2 nights. Options to check in early and check out late is available, but the price is quite a joke (£40 for only 1 hour difference, £80 for 2 hours, I didn't see an option past that either). All in all, great place and amazing location with tons of things to do around you, but if you’re only getting half of your booking the price should reflect that in my opinion.

Stayed for one night in Mint Lodge. Prior to arrival Hosts were extremely friendly and very welcoming. Check- in was super easy, code was sent via AirBnB, no issues accessing the lodge. Upon entry it was just like the photo’s if not better. We had a waterfall outside with a hot tub and even access to our own sauna. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend highly to anyone. A very peaceful relaxing stay. Thank you again to Tomas for everything

Just got back from Brecon View Eco Retreat and had the best time! Stayed in the Mint Lodge with my partner and our dog and honestly we were gutted to leave. The place is so peaceful, lovely views, properly quiet — perfect for switching off. Loads of great walks right there too, and our dog had the time of his life. Hosts were so lovely as well, replied quickly to everything and genuinely couldn't do enough for us. Just really kind, easy people. We'll definitely be back. If you want a chilled dog-friendly break somewhere gorgeous,
