Gablebrook
Carmarthenshire
Llandeilo's independent shops and restaurants lie a short drive away, while Carreg Cennen Castle and the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park are both accessible for a day out. The River Tywi valley stretches across the view from Gablebrook, and the cottage sits beside Llangadog's village green—far enough removed for quiet, close enough to feel part of somewhere real.
Inside, the rooms have genuine character: a sitting room built around a log burner with deep armchairs, a dining area for unhurried meals, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. One double bedroom upstairs contains a carved 1920s French bed; a second single room with shower is reached from the same landing. The main bathroom has a roll-top bath and period washstand. Bed linen, towels, wifi and electricity are all included. One pet is welcome, and there is parking on site.
The garden opens onto a patio where you can take breakfast or dinner outside. The outdoor bath—a genuine draw of the place—sits ready for soaking after a long walk, under the open sky. The cottage is yours alone from late afternoon check-in to mid-morning departure.
