Hoglet Cottage

Carmarthenshire

Photo: Hoglet Cottage

In the rural heart of Carmarthenshire, between Ammanford and the rolling hills of South Wales, Hoglet Cottage sits within reach of both the Brecon Beacons and the Gower Peninsula. The single bedroom and bathroom occupy a ground-floor layout that opens directly onto an enclosed garden with patio and hot tub, letting you move easily between indoors and out. A double bed (4ft 6in), shower room, and open-plan living and dining space complete the accommodation. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—induction hob, air fryer and microwave among its appliances—while the living area has a Smart TV and comfortable seating.

Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and WiFi are included. One car can park on the property, and one well-behaved pet stays free. A travel cot is available. The cottage was renovated to a high standard in 2023 and has the feel of a home rather than a serviced space. From the patio doors in the bedroom, you can step straight into the garden and soak in the hot tub while looking out over the surrounding countryside.

The location works well for exploring further afield. Llandeilo, a market town on the river Towy about 9 miles away, has galleries and boutiques. Swansea's leisure centre and waterpark lie within driving distance, as do cycling routes through Afan Argoed Country Park, with golf and horse riding available locally. The Gower Peninsula and its beaches are also accessible from here.

Perfect place to stay with beautiful views and everything you would need. It has been renovated to a fabulous standard and the hosts are so lovely. You can tell they really care and have put so much thought into this place. Would recommend 100%

Nice place which is dog friendly and has a hot tub. Unfortunately its location let it down somewhat as you had at least an hour's drive to get to the Gower peninsula and Tenby. Not too many attractions locally.
