Maes Merlin

Carmarthenshire

View on Google Maps

Open the patio doors and you step straight into countryside. Maes Merlin is a converted barn where the ground floor flows as one: living space with a 50-inch smart TV, a dining area, and a kitchen fitted with everything needed to cook properly—electric oven, dishwasher, wine cooler. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are all included. The ground floor bedroom is a double with an ensuite wet room; a second bedroom has two single beds and its own wet room. Upstairs, a third bedroom with a kingsize bed and Freeview TV shares access to a family bathroom with both bath and shower.

The property sits on 100 acres of working farmland at the edge of Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, looking towards Black Mountain. An enclosed lawn with patio and barbecue is yours alone; the hot tub, which fits six, is private. Beyond the garden, the grounds are shared with the adjacent family farm—there is an unfenced river within them, about 100 yards away. A utility room houses washing machine and tumble dryer; bike storage is available. Three cars can park on the property.

Llandeilo and Llandovery, both historic market towns with cafés and restaurants, are nearby. Walkers and cyclists find the Beacons and Usk Reservoir close by; birdwatchers head to the Red Kite feeding station. Carreg Cennen Castle and Dinefwr Park Estate, where fallow deer graze, are within reach. No smoking inside the property.
