Morlogws Farm Holiday Cottages - The Carthouse

Carmarthenshire

This converted farm building sits within the grounds of a working dairy farm in rural Carmarthenshire, one of three holiday cottages arranged across the property. Built from stone, The Carthouse retains character throughout—exposed beams and traditional details run through the living spaces, where you'll find a wood-burner, television and DVD player. Bedrooms occupy the upper floor: one with a kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom, two doubles upstairs sharing a shower room. The ground-floor kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with gas cooking and a dishwasher, opening into the dining room where an Echo speaker is available.

The cottage is yours entirely, sleeping six across the three bedrooms. Outside is a private garden with patio and barbecue, though the heated swimming pool (open February through October) and hot tub are shared with the other properties on-site, as is a games room housing a pool table, air hockey and table tennis. Laundry facilities, parking for two cars, bed linen and towels are all included; the essentials are covered so you arrive ready to settle in. The farm sits down a private lane, tucked into a wooded valley with views toward meadows and a pond—an unfenced water feature ten yards from the cottage. Smoking is not permitted inside.

The location suits families wanting outdoor space and countryside quiet; West Wales attractions are within reach for day trips, though many guests spend days simply using the on-site facilities and exploring the working farm surroundings.

Just returned from a week at morlogws farm. A super family holiday . Cottage very clean and everything you need is there All mid cons like an air fryer all settees are recliners . Comfortable beds Lots to do in the area with children . Very peaceful location . The swimming pool is warm and hot tub very relaxing . We used the pool at least twice a day children loved it . Weather was very good too although it was the hottest week this year the cottage living room was cool surprisingly. . Highly recommend

Amazon break! We stayed in the Farm for 3 nights in the logs cabin. The place is in the middle of nowhere but google map’s location is accurate and you will get step by step directions from Nicola and Aled. On the arrival we were welcomed by the hosts and showed around. Log cabin is spacious and has everything you may think about (microwave, kettle, hob and oven, fridge with freezer, even an air fryer!). Smart TV and fast internet, puzzles, games, books – weather does not matter! The pool and hot tub are great – open 24/7. Nicola can give you a tour around the farm to see the cows. Great experience for everyone. Closest shop is few min drive away so ensure that you bring everything you need with you! Definitely a place to come back!

Absolutely 100% recommend! From the start we had a brilliant week. The Welcome from the hosts Nicola and Aled and all the workers on the farm, introducing us to all the dairy cows, my little ones were so excited. Fresh milk daily. The pool and hot tub are always clean and warm. Washing facilities great and could use whenever. We stayed in The Log Cabin and were super cosy all week - even looking at going back next year. Local facilities easily accessible by car - easy to find.

We’ve just had a lovely weeks stay, the weather wasn’t on our side but we managed to keep ourselves busy for a full week in the local area and a little further a field, the swimming pool / hot tub and games room were a dream and we made use of them every day. Absolutely stunning rural location, well equipped lodge with everything we needed but the best part of this little hidden gem has to be owners, a lovely warm Welsh welcome, nothing is too much trouble and any issues such as bulb not working is promptly addressed. Thank you for having us.
