Carmarthenshire

Carmarthenshire's historic villages and market towns make this corner of South Wales compelling to explore, and Mwdlwscwm Farm provides a rural base for doing so. Ystabl is a traditional stone cottage sitting on five acres of grounds shared with one other property. The location works well for day trips to Pembrokeshire's coastline, the Brecon Beacons, or Swansea's beaches—all within an hour's drive. A car is essential; the nearest shop and pub are a couple of miles away.

The cottage holds two bedrooms: a double on the first floor and a single upstairs, plus a separate toilet up there. Downstairs, the living and dining room has a sofa bed (double), a TV with Freesat, a DVD player, and an electric fire. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, with an electric oven, microwave, air fryer, and washer-dryer. One bathroom serves the whole cottage, with a bath and shower over it. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels, and Wi-Fi are included; a travel cot and highchair are available on request.

One pet stays free of charge. The property is non-smoking throughout. There is a river running through the grounds about 30 yards from the cottage, and ample parking on-site.

Outside of the cottage and surroundings beautiful but the inside of the cottage is looking tired.

Beautiful, quiet location. We came here Mon-Fri at the end of April. We stayed in Ystable cottage. It's small yet roomy insite. Our host has though of everything we could need to stay here including milk in the fridge. Dogs are also welcome here, and treets were on hand for them also. What a nice touch. There is a nice garden area at the front of the property that's sheltered from the wind and really catches the sunshine. There are numerous things to do in this area just a short travel away. We visited several empty sandy beaches. A ruined castle. Country parks, lakes. The properties are very well looked after and spotlessly clean. Our host was friendly and approachable too. I would definitely recommend someone staying here and will certainly return here again myself.
