Pendegy Mill - The Granary
Carmarthenshire
View on Google MapsCarmarthenshire's rural valleys and coastal edges draw walkers and cyclists year-round, and The Granary puts you within half a mile of the West Wales Coastal Path. This converted stone barn sits in a wooded valley near Llanybri, with the historic village of Llansteffan a short drive away. The property is one of two on the site, though you have the whole building to yourself, with private parking for two cars and a lawned garden with sitting-out area.
Two bedrooms and two bathrooms serve four guests comfortably. Downstairs, an open-plan living space with television and dining area flows into a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. Upstairs, one bedroom has a zip-and-link king bed (or twin singles on request) with ensuite shower, while the second holds a double bed and its own ensuite. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are included, and there is parking for electric vehicles by prior arrangement. One well-behaved dog stays free. The grounds contain a stream 50 yards away and a sloping bank, which you should know about if visiting with young children.
From here you can explore both Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire on foot or by bike, drop into Llansteffan for coffee, or simply settle into the garden with a book. No smoking inside the property.
