The Brecon Beacons draw walkers, cyclists and riders throughout the year, and Rhandir Barn sits on a working sheep farm within the National Park, overlooking two valleys with views towards Black Mountain. This converted 19th-century barn retains original features including exposed beams and a wood-burning stove; the living area has distinctive archways that recall its days as part of the farm's stables. The property is your own for the duration, sleeping five across three bedrooms—a double with its own bathroom and balcony, a second double and a single.
Downstairs, an open-plan living and dining space flows into a kitchen equipped for self-catering, with a separate utility room and toilet. Upstairs are the three bedrooms and a family bathroom. The 200-acre grounds include lawned gardens with patio seating and woodland walks (shared with the other barn on the farm); there is private parking for three cars. Electricity, heating and Wi-Fi are included, along with bed linen and towels; the wood burner is stocked initially, with further fuel available locally. The grounds contain slopes, streams and a pond, so families with young children should note the terrain. Trapp village with its pub is two miles away; Llandeilo and Llangadog are within six to eight miles for restaurants and shops.
