Balcary Mews Cottage

Balcary Mews Cottage is a semi-detached stone building perched above the coastline near Auchencairn, with uninterrupted views across Balcary Bay from its windows. The cottage spreads across two floors, connected by steep stairs with a handrail. Ground level holds the living and dining space, where a woodburner and freeview television sit alongside a kitchen fitted with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and microwave. Upstairs are two double bedrooms and a shower room; one bedroom is accessed via two steps and suits one adult only. Oil heating runs underfloor in the kitchen, and wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included.

The setting makes this suitable for walkers and cyclists—coastal paths start from the door, and the 7Stanes mountain biking trails are nearby. The property has an enclosed garden with patio, bike storage, and parking for two cars. An initial supply of wood for the burner is provided. The cottage does not allow smoking or children. A shared laundry with washing machine is available. Dumfries and Galloway's castles, abbeys and ruins lie within reach, as do the Machars Peninsula and Galloway Hills.
