About Kippford View Holiday Park

Tucked into the rolling Dumfries and Galloway countryside near Castle Douglas, Kippford View Holiday Park makes a peaceful base for exploring this spectacular corner of southwest Scotland. The site offers electric and fully-serviced grass and gravel touring pitches, plus an outdoor swimming pool, games room and play area to keep families entertained between adventures. With fishing on-site and the Solway coast a short drive away, it's a walkers' and wildlife-watchers' paradise, while nearby sailing, kayaking and mountain biking cater to more active breaks.

What visitors say

This holiday park is set in a beautiful location but has easy access to nearby towns. It is well- maintained and its facilities are clean. We stayed there in a campervan- the pitch we were given was spacious and certainly good value for three of us. Most of the visitors seem to be young families who like the swimming pool, small football pitch and other play areas. However, it is suitable for all. In our case, it was a good base for cycling. Great stuff!

Dont listen to the last review- We couldnt think any higher of this place. Quiet site, but just what we needed. pub that was in walking distance shut, but its a week day pre -season. Toilets incredible. Clean, the hottest strongest showers, unlimited. Warm radiator to dry our towels, and plugs for phones.

Location is.ok and could be a great site but poorly run. No reason to allocate pitches.next to each other when the site isn't full and certainly no excuse for the language from the bloke running it while he loudly chunders to himself about whatever his effing female dog of a partner hasn't done right again while he sweeps the pool. Toilets are a mess... zero working urinals, two cubicles and two showers but all are poorly cleaned and at least a decade overdue an update. Avoid, there's better out there and no excuse for the state of it.

Brilliant quiet caravan site, great facilities including washroom and laundrette, clean and warm enough pool and nice little play park and space for a small football pitch, the husband and wife who run the place and do everything, do a great job, can't fault a single thing. Would defiantly recommend!!
