What visitors say

Erica Borland

We have just spent 13 nights at Dundonald Caravan Park, and what a fantastic stay it has been. Having used this site many times over the last 20 years, we can honestly say it’s never been better. The park is clean, peaceful, well-maintained, and ideally located for exploring Belfast and the surrounding attractions. It’s also perfectly situated for anyone wanting to make the most of the Comber Greenway, whether you’re cycling, walking, or simply enjoying the scenery. The biggest difference this time has been the incredible work of Kane. A massive thank you to him for everything he does. In all the years we’ve been coming here, we’ve never had a warden like Kane. His friendly personality, positive can-do attitude, and exceptional attention to detail have made this park better than it has been in years. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and it’s clear he genuinely cares about both the site and the people staying there. His hard work and dedication really show in the overall atmosphere and presentation of the park. Whether you’re a family looking for a relaxing holiday, a couple wanting a peaceful getaway, a solo traveller, or a cyclist using the Comber Greenway, I’d highly recommend Dundonald Caravan Park. It offers a warm, welcoming environment and is a fantastic base for exploring Belfast and beyond. Finally, a message to Ards and North Down Borough Council: if Kane isn’t already the Park Manager, he certainly deserves to be. He goes far beyond the role of a warden, and his commitment, professionalism, and genuine care for the park and its visitors are a huge credit to the site. Thank you again, Kane, for making our 13-night stay such an enjoyable one. We will definitely be back before the season is over and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dundonald Caravan Park to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

Good location, lots of restaurants and activities nearby. Halfway down the comber greenway, so about 4.5 miles to Belfast if you cycle. Road quite noisy during the day, but didnt bother us during the night. Mostly clean. Quite expensive per night IMHO. Facilities are okay, mixed between some nice updates like new electric showers and kitchen, but dated aspects like grubby looking floor and shower trays (even after a recent clean) and older toilets and sinks. Secure site with keypad entry. Incredibly heavy pedestrian gate, so watch out for accessibility. Charges for washing £3-5 (quick wash, normal wash) and tumble dryer £1 per 12 minutes.

We booked over the phone for two nights. It's only a small park, Steve keeps it tidy. Easy walk up to the bus stop for the ride into town. Good showers & facilities.
