Through the front door of Derlwyn, you step into a cottage built around comfort rather than fuss. The ground floor opens into a living room with a woodburner at its heart, then a second sitting room for quieter moments, and a kitchen-diner with the basics for proper cooking—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, air fryer. Upstairs are three bedrooms: two with double beds (4ft 6in) and one smaller double (4ft), along with a family bathroom holding both bath and separate shower cubicle.

The real draw is outside. An enclosed back garden runs to a patio and terrace with furniture already set out, surrounded by views toward the Aeron valley. This is the space where guests actually spend time—morning coffee at the picnic table, afternoon sun on the loungers, dogs running freely without worry of the road. Two parking spaces sit on the drive; wifi and heating work throughout; bed linen and towels are sorted. One well-behaved pet stays free.

Derlwyn sits on the main road between Aberaeron and Lampeter, putting the Ceredigion coast and countryside within reach for walks or drives. It suits couples, groups of friends, or anyone seeking a genuine retreat rather than a showpiece. No smoking indoors; children are not accommodated.
