Gaer Cottages - The Old Cowsheds 2 - Shippon

Rural Ceredigion between Lampeter and Aberaeron is quiet farming country, with the coast twenty minutes away. Gaer Cottages – The Old Cowsheds 2 is a converted stone barn on a six-acre working farm, one of several holiday lets scattered across the grounds. The whole property is yours alone, set on one level with a king and twin bedroom, shower room, and a combined living, dining and kitchen space that opens onto an enclosed patio. Electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are provided.

The kitchen has an electric cooker, hob, dishwasher, washing machine and the usual kit for self-catering. In the living area there is a smart TV. Outside, the patio has garden furniture and a gas barbecue, with direct views over the owner's land towards the river. You'll need to know there is unfenced river access from the grounds—a consideration if you're visiting with young children. There is parking for one car on site and no smoking inside the cottage.

Lampeter itself, a small market town, has two supermarkets, a butcher, baker and greengrocer, plus a health shop with a vegetarian café. The coast at Aberaeron—with its coloured Georgian townhouses and working harbour—is within reach for a day out, and the Cardigan coast and inland walking country all lie nearby.
