Gaer Cottages - The Old Cowsheds 4 - Daniel Ddu

Ceredigion

Photo: Google Maps

Rural Ceredigion unfolds around Gaer Cottages – a converted stone cowshed on eight shared acres that slope down to the river. The hamlet sits quietly inland, within reach of Aberaeron's coast and close to Lampeter's independent shops and cafés. This corner of Wales suits people drawn to countryside walks and smaller towns over crowded beaches.

The Old Cowsheds 4 is a single-storey property sleeping four: a living and dining room with a smart TV, a kitchen with electric cooking and a dishwasher, one bedroom with a king bed, a second with two singles, and a shower room with a heated towel rail. Everything sits on ground level. An enclosed garden has seating and a gas barbecue; beyond that, the grounds are shared with other cottages on the site, and there is direct access to the unfenced river. Parking for two cars is on-site. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are provided. No smoking.

The kitchen is set up for real cooking rather than heating ready meals. If you're bringing a dog, there are doggy extras waiting. Summer mornings work well on the patio; winter evenings in front of the TV. The river and walking trails are genuinely there; Lampeter's butcher, baker and greengrocer genuinely exist and are genuinely independent.
