Ty Draenog occupies the ground and first floors of a converted 18th-century milking shed on a quiet 5-acre smallholding near Maen-y-groes. What you walk into is a living room with a smart TV, then a kitchen and dining space with a full range of appliances including a dishwasher and washing machine. Ground-floor underfloor heating keeps things warm in colder months. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a super kingsize bed, the other with zip-and-link twins that can be pushed together—and a bathroom with both bath and shower. The essentials including electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are covered; there's also a travel cot and highchair if needed.
Outside, a patio with garden furniture opens onto the grounds, where you'll find a shared sitting area, BBQ and bike store across the 5 acres. One dog stays free and has space to roam. The coastal path runs behind the property, leading down to New Quay's shops, restaurants and beaches within a short walk. Red kites are often spotted overhead. Cardigan, a few miles south, has a watersports centre for paddle-boarding and sailing; New Quay's fishing harbour is known for bottlenose dolphins visible on clear days. Private parking for two cars is provided. Smoking is not permitted.

We had a great holiday in this beautiful cottage which is spacious and spotlessly clean. The welcome pack was fantastic and the cottage had so many wonderful amenities. One point we would like to make though is that we wanted to relax in front of the TV in the evenings and we found the sofa's extremely uncomfortable and not great for lounging, they felt like you were sat in a waiting room. The sofas were also in the wrong position to watch the TV, which was, in our opinion, too small for the size of room. Other than that though everything else was excellent. Thank you

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this charming cottage in Newquay, Wales. It was the perfect size for our family of four and offered everything we needed for a relaxing break. The cottage itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly cosy, with all the little touches that made it feel like a home away from home. The location couldn’t have been better, peaceful and picturesque, not far from the beach, coastal walks, and local shops and cafes. We spent our days exploring the stunning coastline and came back in the evenings to enjoy quiet family time in the comfort of the cottage. The hosts were friendly and attentive, providing clear instructions and thoughtful recommendations for things to do in the area. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely love to return. Highly recommended

What a wonderful place....My husbabd and I and our 2 dogs had our first holiday here and it definitely wont be our last. Beautiful cottage with super decor and fully equipped with everything you need. Met Gareth and what a lovely guy he was, nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is tucked away and so secure and peaceful just what we like and a short drive or walk away from our favourite New Quay and other beautiful sights around Cardigan Bay all within a short drive too. Thanks Gareth & Karen for a truly relaxing and delightful week spent with you in West Wales 🏴
