Lampeter sits in rural Ceredigion at the heart of the Teifi Valley, an area of rolling countryside and small market towns. Y Beudy is a renovated stone barn on the valley's edge, offering views across the landscape from several rooms and the wraparound terrace.

The property sleeps 8 across four bedrooms, each with an ensuite shower room, plus a fifth bathroom with a bath. The main bedroom has French doors opening onto the terrace; two others hold kingsize beds and one has two single beds. Downstairs, the open-plan living space combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas around a woodburner, with patio doors leading to the terrace where a gas barbecue, firepit and wood-fired pizza oven are ready to use. The kitchen is equipped for cooking from scratch. Essentials including bed linen, towels, electricity, heating and wifi are provided, along with firewood for the burner. There is bike storage and secure parking for four vehicles, plus an electric charging point.

The enclosed back garden is lawned and terraced with garden furniture. One dog stays free, though dogs must be kept on a lead as sheep graze nearby. The property does not permit smoking. It suits families or groups wanting space to spread out, with the proximity of Lampeter Caravan & Camping suggesting other activities in the area. Note that the garden includes 12 steps.

Casey

We had the pleasure and privilege of staying here for a special occasion in nearby Lampeter. It is clean, dry and warm. Well furnished in all rooms. Separate bathroom by each of the two bedrooms to give privacy for two couples sharing the property was good. Beautifully set in the quiet Welsh countryside with easy car access. Even the drive down to the Y Beudy cottage accommodation past the horses and sheep in the fields was delightful. Simon was so friendly and only too pleased to help if there should be anything we needed. Our thanks again to Simon and Charlotte for making our long weekend stay so nice.
