Hen Llaeth sits within the owner's 8½-acre smallholding in rolling countryside near Llanybydder, where alpacas, chickens and donkeys graze on the land around you. The cottage itself is a converted stone building—formerly a cow shed—set down a private lane with an enclosed garden and space for guests' dogs to exercise freely. It's a ten-minute drive to Llanybydder town, and New Quay's beaches and harbour lie twenty-five minutes away, with boat trips available to spot bottlenose dolphins.
Inside, everything is on the ground floor: an open-plan living space with television and DVD player opens onto a patio through French doors, the kitchen has an electric oven and gas hob for proper cooking, and the bedroom contains a king-size bed with an en-suite shower room. Heating, electricity, Wi-Fi and bed linen are all provided. There's parking for two cars and a welcome pack on arrival. The property suits couples seeking a quiet base, and walking routes begin practically at the door. No smoking is permitted in the cottage itself.

Tim and Mandy are above all expectations! Where to begin to give them praise they deserve? I will start with their warm welcome, with wide smile, with taking time to speak with us, with welcome pack waiting for us in spotless cottage and more and more! Beautiful property with lots of hidden gems to relax and meditate, lots of animals for all donkey/dog/alpaca/goats/ponny lovers. All is in the right place and for spoling guests. This place is really little heaven🩵 For me THE BEST holiday cottage and will looking forward to come back again.

A great home from home with all mod cons (no dishwasher, though, contrary to advert). Very helpful hosts. Safe and peaceful. I even enjoyed the 3 storms while there with my dog, although the high winds and heavy rain limited our outdoor activities. Thankfully, no thunder or lightning. My dog would not have enjoyed that! The enclosed garden was a huge plus and enabled his favourite ball games, even in the rain. Much towelling of muddy dog, but still, the middle of nowhere was my choice. Don't take Vodafone. There is no signal. My dog enjoyed playing with theirs, an otterhound, no less!

My dog and I had a wonderful time here, despite 3 storms in one week (well, it WAS February) and no phone signal. (Do not bring Vodafone). Our hosts couldn't have been kinder or more helpful and the accommodation has all mod cons, with the peace and quiet of the countryside, and an enclosed garden for the dog. A perfect, homely holiday.
