What visitors say
A great experience and all made so easy! Loved it. After a wait of about 90 minutes, 2 badgers appeared, and off and on we had the company of 1, 2 or 3 badgers for well over an hour and a half. A fox and a tawny owl also put in appearances. Be prepared to stay quiet, and talk in whispers only. There are no loo facilities at the huts, only at the car park, which is across a field. Take layers of clothes. If you take snacks/drink make sure they won't rustle or clink. Mobile phone night mode will cope for photos, but make sure it won't ring or make a noise. Booking in advance is essential.

We booked this badger watching activity by a recommendation from the host of the cottage. It was fairly easy to book - just phoned in based on the info on their website. They need to take the payment in advance - £120 per hide. There are two hides in the farm. We arrived at 7pm. Then we just waited quietly for the badger to appear. There was a diary from previous visitors. It seems most people observed badgers between 9-10pm. Luckily the first badger appeared at 8pm and we saw it busy feeding for 10min. We had to head back London for work, so we cant stay much longer. Will definitely come back and stay till later into the dark. Highly recommend to bring some books or even a card game - keep yourself entertained while waiting.

Nice hides that have glass so it isn't too cold. Sadly the glass was a little dirty and fogged up on both the inside and out so it needed to be wiped down a few times over the evening. Badgers came a couple of times from about 1930-2200. Two badgers at once for a little bit too. View from hides is good, close to the badgers too!

What a magical experience watching badgers in the wild! We had our own hide which was situated right by the badger sett. We arrived at half 6 but it wasn't until about 10 that the badgers came out. 100% worth the wait though! There is other wildlife to see too including a tawny owl box. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!
