About Doubletree by Hilton Cheltenham

Out along Cirencester Road, with the Cotswold countryside spreading beyond the car park, Doubletree by Hilton Cheltenham makes the most of a setting that's greener than most town-centre alternatives while still keeping the racecourse and the Cotswolds themselves within easy reach. It's a sizeable hotel, with 148 rooms across four floors, and works equally well as a base for exploring the area or for events, with meeting rooms and a wedding venue including a bridal suite.

Rooms are en-suite with air conditioning, and are generally spacious and well kept, though some are showing their age and could do with updating. Breakfast and dinner are served in the restaurant, with a bar and snack bar also on site, plus room service, packed lunches and kids' meals for families. A garden, picnic area and outdoor seating make use of the surrounding countryside, and pets are welcome throughout.

The gym is well maintained and there's an indoor swimming pool alongside the spa and sauna, though the spa itself doesn't always match the rest of the hotel for upkeep. Outside, the area suits walking and cycling, with golf, pubs and restaurants nearby, and staff are consistently helpful with local recommendations. Parking is available on site for a charge.

Lovely hotel, super friendly and helpful staff, hard working staff at the restaurant. I love the Jura coffee machines and the breakfast was great with lots of nice options. The rooms are a bit small but very clean and nice. Would love to come back here

Great experience; we stayed as a spa break for our anniversary. We went to the spa before check-in, had our treatments which were really nice too. Dinner was really nice; food amazing quality. We ate pudding outside which was lovely. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Room bigger than we expected (Queen standard) and very quiet where we were (338, round the back).

The rooms at the Doubletree are perfectly adequate they have everything you could ask for. The plumbing system could do with a bit of updating. The hot water doesn't come through very hot but it's not cold. I was very pleasantly surprised with the meal in the restaurant at the hotel I had the state player and wild mushrooms on toast. It was well cooked and tasty. I have to say a big thank you to our waitress Belle. I'm not sure how long she has been working in restaurants but she was one of the best waitresses I've ever been served by. She was attentive and could not have been more helpful, I mean it she was brilliant. Thank you Belle , you are a credit to the Doubletree.

Was here with a large group who secured the residence for the whole weekend. I think this was a big challenge keeping us all happy but they were the A team and I'm so grateful for their service, kindness and efficiency. The hotel is in a lovely location for walks and views. The rooms are a good size and clean throughout. The hotel is charming and although the layout felt like a maze it became easier to navigate. The spa and pool area are immaculate and well staffed & stocked and although the steam room and sauna are the smallest I've ever encountered, the pool is a decent size. The buffet and dining was of a good standard and the waiting staff made good efforts to meet special requests. I really was impressed with ALL the staff but especially the waiting staff, I didn't get their names except Baraka who was especially helpful. I would be happy to return. Thank you DoulbleTree for facilitating our very special Ladies Weekend.
