Travellers after a low-key base for a Cheltenham weekend, rather than a big corporate hotel, will find The Charlton Boutique Hotel a good fit. Run as a family business, it has just 13 rooms, each done out in bright, contemporary style with en-suite bathrooms, and there's a garden and outdoor seating for guests who want to sit outside rather than in.
The hotel has its own restaurant and bar for meals and drinks without having to leave the building, plus breakfast, free WiFi, drinks brought to the room, and family rooms for those travelling with children. There's also a meeting room for anyone combining business with the stay, a picnic area, 24 hour reception, and free on-site parking, which is useful given the location on London Road.
Pittville Park and Cheltenham Racecourse are both within reach, and the town centre isn't far either, so it works equally well for racing trips, a wander round Cheltenham, or a golf outing given the nearby course. Pubs, restaurants and other eateries are close by too, making it easy to head out in the evening even though the on-site restaurant and bar cover the basics well.

This was a lovely stay during our Cotswold way journey. Shakil was amazing! I am only giving 4 stars because of the very limited dinner menu. After a 12 mile day we were really hoping for something a little more than what was offered. The food was still good, but the chicken wrap was definitely a small lunch not a dinner.

We were walking a section of the Cotswold Way and the owners were kind enough to let us park our car overnight and for the following day even though we weren't staying. We went back to the hotel with a friend who was staying and saw one of the rooms - compact, but clean and with everything you needed for an overnight stay. Lovely hotel to deal with - thank you!

Just had to shout out the Charleton Boutique Hotel - what an amazing stay! Shakil was super warm and helpful, made our stay so much more enjoyable. The food at Oncore restaurant was also delicious, loved the presentation and flavors! Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a cozy and chill vibe. 5/5 stars from me!

Absolutely loved my stay! The hotel is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and the staff are incredibly kind and professional. Feels like a luxury home away from home. highly recommended!
