Disley sits at the foot of the Peak District, where Cheshire meets Derbyshire. The village is built around Lyme Park, the National Trust estate that draws visitors year-round, and it serves as a natural base for walkers and cyclists heading into the hills. Pubs, restaurants and a train station (with services to Manchester and Buxton) keep it practical as well as picturesque. Lane Ends Cottage stands a short walk from the centre, a semi-detached property with parking for two cars and a rear garden with an unfenced pond on the grounds.
Inside, there are three bedrooms—one with a zip-and-link king bed, one with a double, and one with two single beds—and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. The ground floor has a living room with a smart TV and gas woodburner, a dining room, and a kitchen equipped for real cooking (electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher). A utility room with washer and tumble dryer, plus a separate toilet, complete the layout. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. One pet stays free. The cottage does not permit smoking.
From here, the Millennium Walkway at neighbouring New Mills is a ten-minute drive, Buxton's Pavilion Gardens about twenty minutes, and marked trails into the National Park begin almost at the door. For quieter evenings, the village has enough going on without feeling rushed.

Lane Ends Cottage is utterly lovely, cosy, well appointed and situated conveniently for the pubs and restaurants in Disley and with ease of access to the Peak District. Great host too!

Absolutely gorgeous stay at an absolutely stunning cottage. We stayedherefor3 nights in April and the host Lucy could not have been more accommodating or helpful. The cottage was completely spotless and had everything you could possibly want. The beds were incredibly comfy and it was lovely to have beautiful artwork from local artists up throughout the cottage. The view of the Cage from Lyme Park was superb. There was plenty of parking and Disley was only a short walk away.

For us, the location was absolutely perfect. We needed easy access into Manchester, but much preferred a place to stay with beautiful views, and surrounded by countryside, which we could explore in the short time that we had available. The cottage was just beautiful to stay in, Lucy was a most thoughtful and communicative host, making us feel very welcome, and we so wished that we could have stayed longer. She really has considered all of the needs of her guests. Would 100% recommend and would 100% come and stay again.

Lanes End Cottage is a beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean cottage that has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The owner, Lucy, is very friendly and helpful and the welcome pack she provided was very much appreciated. There are many great walks, either directly from the door or a short drive away, so we and our dogs were able to enjoy a different walk every day. This was when the tiled ante room proved particularly useful as it meant we could make sure they were clean before entering the main house. We had a very enjoyable stay and shall miss waking up every morning to the lovely views.
