This standalone cottage occupies a converted farm building with genuine character. The ground floor holds the kitchen, dining and living spaces in an open plan, where a Smart TV and full cooking facilities mean you can settle in for the duration. Upstairs, two bedrooms with zip-and-link beds sleep four, alongside a bathroom with a bath and shower. The essentials—heating, electricity, linen and towels—are provided, along with Wi-Fi and parking for one car on site.
Outside, the enclosed garden comes with furniture and a barbecue, plus the main draw: your own hot tub for four. The cottage sits within Oakwood Farm Mews, a complex that also runs a café open daily from 8am to 2pm if you'd rather not cook. Chester is three miles away, making this a workable base for exploring the city's Roman walls, cathedral and riverside walks, or heading further to the Wirral Peninsula or North Wales. Non-smokers only.

Based on booking experience alone….! We’ve booked a short, two night stay in the Willow Cottage for Easter Weekend. Peter, Lauren and the Team at Oakwood have made our booking experience super slick and easy. They’ve provided speedy and efficient answers to our many questions! The Team are even allowing us late check out and the possibility of early check in, should they have availability! Based on the helpfulness and efficiency of the booking process alone, we’re expecting and looking forward to a wonderful short break. Will be sure to leave a full review following our stay.

We stayed at The Ash for a week. Myself, wife and 16month old son. The house is beautiful. So clean and tidy. Big comfy beds, nice kitchen, really good showers, private led light hot tub. Only 10 minutes from Chester, the zoo, blue planet, chester oaks and lots more. Very quiet peaceful place. The people who run it are very helpful. Helped us get set up with a cot and high chair for our son. We would highly recommend this place and we will be back.

What a great place! Super comfortable beds, nice and quiet in the night time, the house keeper is great very clean rooms, got a phone call from the office staff the morning of arrival to confirm the booking as we booked last minute, which I thought was a really nice touch as not alot of hotels/ holiday parks do that, great location super easy to find just off the M56, we stayed overnight for our sons first birthday as we were going to Chester zoo which is about a 10 minute drive away and we went to cheshire oaks for dinner which is even closer. Would recommend to anyone, will absolutely be staying again in the future!

Last minute booking and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Lovely room and great value for money. Staff where very helpful and friendly. Not far from all local shopping venues in Chester area. Had a lovely stay!
