The Restored Cottage

The Restored Cottage opens into a generously proportioned ground floor that flows between living space and kitchen. A wood burner warms the sitting room; the kitchen, fitted with an induction hob, dishwasher and other appliances, opens via bi-fold doors onto the garden. Two bedrooms occupy this level—one with a king bed and ensuite shower room, one with a double—while a family bathroom serves the layout. Upstairs, a third double bedroom completes the house. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included, along with initial fuel for the stove.

The garden is enclosed, lawned and planted with patio seating and a barbecue. Off-street parking accommodates four cars. The cottage itself dates to the 17th century and has been restored to blend period character with modern comfort; it is a whole property to yourself and does not allow smoking.

Chorley lies about 15 minutes' drive away and functions as a market town with Astley Hall and its museum nearby. For outdoor activity, Rivington Pike—a 30-minute drive—offers one of the stronger viewpoints across the North West. Hoghton Tower and Heskin Hall Shopping Village are accessible local attractions, while the surrounding countryside suits walking and cycling.
