Royal Umpire Caravan Park

Brilliant, staying in The Hive glamping pods and exceeded expectations. Having the weather helps but we couldn't fault it. Little park behind the pods and huge field to keep my 3 entertained. 100% will be back.

Site itself is pretty. Nice setting. Lodges were nice and good value for our group of friends. However no oven as stated. Kept nice and we had a nice time as group. However awful experience - after having just arrived and trying to get sorted our children were playing in the field next to the park. They were verbally abused by two very young lads who lived on the site with the ponies and were chased around with a horse whip and whipped by the boys who were using awful language . My autistic child was petrified after being chased around by said boys who were trying to whip him. Not a good start and not something we thought we would have to account for. Would not return. My son left a scooter on the park, went to retrieve it after the fact and it was nowhere to be seen. His fault for leaving it but a sad end to the trip.

I wanted to have a seasonal pitch here, I made sure my vehicle was allowed there, checked with 2 members of staff, signed all the documents and was charged £1200 upfront only to get there on the day and be turned away for no real reason. (Was told my motorhome was too big even though there was 2 larger ones there, but they were ok as 'they had been there a long time'. Had to wait a week for my refund and was stuck in a lay by for a week. Ruined my experience. 0/10 would steer well clear of this place.

We went for couple of days and stayed in hive and we had beautiful holiday , the camp is in countryside , walks for dogs , horses and pubs close by . Hive was clean and had all facilities.
