What diners say
Was intrigued to try this Italian as it had meat skewer dishes as well as the classic Italian pasta dishes. The pasta was al dente and served in a hearty and rich sauce that had a good rich flavour. The salad was fresh and had big chunks of cheese to add a little savoury flavour. The skewers were a little drier than we expected and not as juicy and tender as we had hoped, but that might be the style of the dish. The meat was overall good quality though. But overall the service was nice and the venue is small and cosy with a nice family vibe.

Cute little local restaurant serving good food. Interesting skewers of meat which was nice but wished they were bigger chunks per skewer (and less skewers) as they would probably taste more satisfying to taste. Pasta was all lovely but thought the portions were on a smaller side overall as we felt still little peckish afterwards. Tiramisu is a must. The restaurant was packed and definitely recommend booking for the weekend. Very limited space to move around if you are a larger guest.

I discovered this restaurant through TheFork, which was offering a discount on food on selected dates, and I’m really glad I found it. It’s very rare to come across an Italian restaurant specialising in regional cuisine from Abruzzo, so it was a great surprise. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The food was excellent from start to finish. We began with fried pizza dough sticks served with Parma ham, which were delicious and something a bit different. We also had a very good Pinsa Margherita. For the mains, we ordered the pappardelle with lamb ragù and the chitarrina with tomato sauce, both full of flavour and perfectly cooked. We also had to try the arrosticini, the most famous dish from Abruzzo, and they were absolutely spot on. We finished with a tiramisù, which was also delicious. Overall, a really great experience. Even without the discount, the quality of the food and the warm service make it a place I’d happily recommend to anyone looking for authentic regional Italian cuisine.

Lovely cozy place with friendly staff and true Italian feel. Some dishes were excellent (pesto pasta, pizza dough/salami appetizer), others only so-so (calamari, potatoes, meat skewers). House wine was a good value.
