About Lakes Yurts
Tucked away near Cockermouth, Lakes Yurts offers a proper glamping escape in the Cumbrian countryside. The yurts themselves are thoughtfully kitted out – expect wood-burners, proper beds and a cosy feel that works well whatever the weather. It's a peaceful spot, ideal for switching off, though pitches start from around £165 a night so it's priced at the upper end.
The setting delivers: you're well-placed for exploring the northern Lakes, with fells and market towns within easy reach. Guests consistently praise the hosts' welcoming approach and the tranquil atmosphere, making it a solid choice if you want a touch more comfort than canvas without losing that camping connection to the outdoors.

What visitors say
An amazing campsite with incredibly helpful and knowledgeable staff. Not far from the a road but you feel like you are completely in nature and cant here anything but the wildlife. The campsite shop is very reasonably priced and the facilities (particularly the toilets) are some of the best i have ever seen. Will be visiting again

Stayed at their Coniston site over the weekend and was very satisfied. The yurts are nice and clean with very comfortable pillows and blankets and have their own secluded area as well as nice toilets. Hot tub was smashing as expected. The farm was nice and had friendly pigs, dogs, ducks and goats. The homemade burgers sold on the farm were very delicious. The bakery in Broughton is probably the best I've been to.

We hired the VW campervan Hannah and we had the most wonderful time exploring the wilderness of Scotland. The service and handover from the team was exemplary and they are highly recommended.
