Kendal and the Lake District are minutes away by car, making Meadowview Barn a practical base for walking, climbing and exploring the fells. Stainton is a quiet hamlet, but you're not isolated—shops and restaurants in town are a short drive, and the Dales and lakeland scenery start on the doorstep. The barn itself works as an upside-down house, with the main living space on the first floor where French doors lead to a balcony overlooking fields.
Five bedrooms across three floors sleep ten: on the ground floor, four beds (one kingsize with its own shower and toilet, one kingsize, two singles) and a family bathroom; upstairs a kingsize with ensuite; and a second-floor kingsize with ensuite and limited headroom. The kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, air fryer, dishwasher, wine cooler and two freezers. A living room with woodburner and smart TV opens to that first-floor balcony. Essentials like heating, electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included; a highchair is available on request. There's a back garden with patio and furniture, parking for two cars on site, and one well-behaved pet can stay at no extra cost.
Four steps lead to the entrance, and there are further steps down to the garden. No smoking inside. The property suits families and groups of friends looking for a sizeable, comfortable base rather than couples or parties.
