About Coniston Experience Freedom Glamping

Wanting a walking holiday in the Lake District? Make Coniston Experience Freedom Glamping your base for strolls aplenty through this famed landscape. Right on the shores of Coniston Water, the site puts you within a two-hour amble of the Old Man of Coniston fell's 2,634-foot summit, with woodland wanders starting straight from your pitch. Aquatic adventures await at nearby Waterhead Pier – try windsurfing, canoeing, dinghy sailing or steamboat rides across the glittering water.

Back on site, there's a playground to keep little ones entertained plus organised activities throughout your stay. Keen for more? Cycling, pony trekking and abseiling are all available locally, while Go Ape's rope bridges and zipwires in Grizedale Forest lie half an hour away. Prefer gentler pursuits? Beatrix Potter's former home makes a lovely bookworm pilgrimage, or pack a hamper from the on-site shop and picnic beside National Trust's Aira Force waterfall. With a very large pitch count, free wifi and family-friendly facilities throughout, it's a well-equipped Lakeland base.

Incredible stay, highly recommend! Nina and Adrian are amazing, so so accommodating and friendly - they went out of their way to make sure we had a great and comfortable stay! The glamping pods are incredible, they have everything you need and are so clean and comfortable. The grounds are gorgeous and there’s a shop on site for essentials. Will absolutely be staying again next time

Great accommodation and location, the pods have great storage ideas to maximise the available space. The outside verandah space attached to the pod is enclosed with a fence and gate, perfect if you have a dog.

Stayed in one of the glamping pods - essentially a small apartment. Clean, comfortable beds, decent shower, and more than adequate cooking facility. Location is accessible to the south Lakes area, including Coniston Old Man walkable from the site. Didn't need much from the staff while we were there, but they were helpful and friendly.

Cosey 2 night stay in a classic glamping pod. Tidy clean and well maintained. The pods are well though out to get the most out of the space. Realy good amenities within the pod. Fresh clean bedding provided, just bring your own towels. Even got a little pack for the dog. Treats, dog bowl and bags. Would highly recommend and definitely stay again.
