Glan Ceirw Caravan Park

Spent a lovely weekend staying in one of the static caravans. All amenities were provided, comfortable, spacious and nicely decorated inside. The site is quiet and peaceful. The river is lovely to sit by at the bottom and the area around the campsite is nice to wander through. Location was ideal for us. We visited Betws, only a 20 minute drive away, and Conwy, less than an hours drive away. Overall, I would recommend if you're looking for a beautiful little campsite!

What a gem. The friendly owners are a credit to this beautiful, quaint little site. The hardstanding pitches are small but once we were maneuvered in with a bit of help we were fine. There is a quirky bar onsite, at the moment only open on Saturdays but a nice atmosphere and a very good selection of drinks. The site itself sits on the bank of a very pretty river which would be great for a paddle during the summer. There is a games room which is very dated as are the toilet facilities however after several good chats over the weekend with the owner I found out they do have plans for these to be modernised in the near future. That being said they in no way affect the natural beauty and surroundings of the place. I was asked, just in a general chat what could make the site better, I suggested a bin in the washing up room and just as we were leaving I saw one being put there! We used the local bus service (few minutes walk to bus stop and only one bus every two hours) to get into Betws y coed, 35 minutes away with lovely scenery. The place itself is quite remote so unless you want to take your car out again youd need to take plenty of supplies. Overall, a very pretty place, quite dated but over modernising wouldnt suit it, just a few little tweaks and it'd be perfect. Id definitely visit again.

Had a lovely time at Glan Ceirw camping a couple of weeks ago. Such a beautiful quiet spot by the river. Owners were lovely and friendly; they came to check if we were having a nice time and recommended some local walks and waterfalls. It's a very affordable campsite which is hard to come by nowadays and much appreciated. As such expect basic facilities - it's a field with a toilet block a short stroll away. Ignore the reviews saying the toilet block is miles away, it's less than a minute (albeit uphill) and means you can't smell it on the camping field. Frankly if you can't walk a short distance away and expect more for your buck then maybe camping isn't for you - go stay in a hotel. Lovely place, will definitely come again!

Apologies for the later review as promised. Lets start with the pros 😊, Beautiful location, not far from snowdon or many other Beautiful mountains that are available to hike, around 30 to 40mins drive. Stunning location, right next to a little river and very quiet for that peace of mind when relaxing from a busy day. "And how can I forget the owners" what an absolutely lovely family ❤️, they did everything in there power to helps us, even when our car wasnt working properly and a member of the site help me fix the issue. Plus a wisk 😊. Toilets and showers 🚿, washing up area at the back of the toilets, with a washing machine and dryer too. Electric hook ups Drinking water A place to put your waste. And a area at the entrance of the site, for you recycling ♻️ needs. Cons, Pitches might be a bit tight for larger caravans, but im sure with a few more turns, you will be just fine. Showers could be a bit warmer, and it someone from the ladys is using the shower at the same time, you lose heat and pressure. Apart from that, I have to say, dont let it deter your visit and stay at this beautiful camp site.
