About Ty Cerrig Caravan and Camping

Ty Cerrig Caravan and Camping makes a straightforward base for touring the valleys and peaks around Corwen. The site offers sixty non-electric grass pitches split between tents and tourers, plus the basics you'd expect: showers, toilets and drinking water. Dogs are welcome, and the family-friendly atmosphere suits those after a quiet overnight or a longer stopover without frills.

That said, there's no waste disposal point or WiFi, so it's worth coming prepared if you're in a motorhome or need to stay connected. Stayed at this campsite over the bank holiday weekend and boy was it busy! No surprise as the site is in a great location for exploring. The field is sloped so if you're in a camper or motor home take levelling blocks. Gorgeous views all round and lots of sheep 🐑 it is on a working farm so dogs must be kept on a lead or tethered. The owners are very accommodating and friendly so it was no problem when we wanted to stay an extra night. My only worry was that there were 2 toilets and 2 showers each for male and female, which were spotlessly clean, but it was so well managed we didn't have to wait around for long. The atmosphere was great, no music but we did hear some played very quietly and the other campers were pleasant. Country cooks which is a 2 minute drive away do a good pancake breakfast and The Goat pub is about a 5 minute drive if you want to eat out in the evening. This site would have easily got a 5 star review if they were to improve the toilets/showers. Saying that, I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

What an amazing couple that own this farm and camp. They are so kind and so helpful. They love to get to know the people who stay with them, so go and have a chat if they have time. We did and learnt all about the farms and their land and will definitely be back. The views are also amazing and some great walk with natural streams, but remember to respect the land and animals. I can see this camp just getting better and better after hearing what they plan to do, you couldn't ask for better place to stay. Remember your blocks as some of it is on a little slope but plenty of space to find a good spot and they will help you as best they can.

Absolutely brilliant site and Yvonne who runs it is amazing! If you need anything at all it's done instantly. Such a warm welcome and quite possibly the happiest person ever. The effort put in is next level. We stayed in a bell tent which was beautifully put together and even little gifts and extra touches put out for my partner's birthday. The site itself is so peaceful and the views are stunning. 10/10 definitely recommend.

Stayed here for a week in August and would definitely return. The owners are lovely, they can't do enough to help. We were able to choose where we pitched our tent out of a few areas. The land isn't level, as you would expect for a field, but perfectly fine for a tent. You are allowed barbecues and fire pits as long as they are off the ground. There are two toilets and two showers for each gender, this is more than enough most of the time, there were queues at the weekend when it was busy, but throughout the week no issues. The toilet and showers are kept very clean, almost every time I went in the toilets Yvonne was in there cleaning them. There is also no charge for the showers which is a bonus. There is a plug socket in the ladies toilets which is handy for hair dryer/ straighteners. There is also a washing up area with hot water and washing up liquid. It is a quiet site so no music but that wasn't a bad thing, it's lovely and peaceful at night. There is a stream across the road you can paddle in which is quite nice. The campsite is quite well located for a lot of local activities and is close to Bala where there are shops and restaurants. I would definitely recommend the campsite and we can't wait to go back.
