Lyons Winkups - Eirlys D23

Photo: Lyons Winkups Holiday Park

Walk through the door of Eirlys D23 and you step straight into a generous open-plan living space. The lounge has a freeview television and a sofa bed that pulls down into a double; beyond it sits a dining area and kitchen where you can cook proper meals on the gas cooker. Everything is on the ground floor, accessed by just two steps, with a shower room serving the property. Three bedrooms provide sleeping space for eight: one with a double bed, the other two each with a pair of singles.

Electricity, bed linen and towels come as standard. The caravan has gas central heating and its own sitting-out area for warmer evenings. Two parking spaces are yours on site. The holiday park itself has an indoor swimming pool with changing facilities, and you are welcome to bring one pet. No smoking is permitted inside.

Abergele's beaches are within reach on foot. Tir Prince Funfair sits directly across the road, combining amusement arcades, a retail market and harness racing. Further along the coast lie the Victorian seafront of Llandudno and Conwy's walled town with its castle; inland, Snowdonia National Park offers everything from gentle walks to serious outdoor pursuits. The park location puts restaurants, shops and bars within easy distance, so you can plan days exploring or simply stay put and use what is on your doorstep.

We are a family of 4 adults staying in a caravan on the Lyons Winkups site. Reception staff are helpful and friendly. All amenities are easy enough to find. Cleanliness of the caravan not great. There was rubbish left in the bin in the cupboard, dirty sides and cupboard doors, sugar inside one of the cupboards. Dirty stove, bread crumbs left in the tray of the toaster and dirty binbag in the grey bin. Bedroom with ensuite was very dusty and there were hairs left behind, on the bed on the side tables and also the dressing table. The ensuite toilet was disgusting, sink and toilet dirty (urine splashes on the seat and lid) plus something sticky on the seat that wouldn't wipe off with toilet roll as the tissue got stuck to it. Toothpaste marks on the floor and radiator and grime around the sink, safe to say I think that bathroom got missed. We are here until Friday so I'll have to buy cleaning spray and a cloth so I can give everything a wipe over to ensure it's all sanitary and safe to use. It feels like it was a rush job in this van. I certainly would not have checked this off if I was the supervisor doing van checks. Shame, our last holiday here was amazing and van was spotless.

Booked a 3 bed caravan didn’t get told til we arrived there was issues and couldn’t have the 3 bed caravan we booked so had to use a 2 bed caravan so I had to tell my brother and his kids he couldn’t stay with us did ruin the holiday to be honest and I emailed Lyon’s Winkups to tell them and didn’t even get a reply so this has kind of put me off booking again!

We bought our static caravan in July 2025 and the service from start to finish has been absolutely fantastic. Even now, we’re still enjoying our holiday home and all the facilities, and the experience has continued to be nothing short of first class. A massive thank you to Ethan, who has been brilliant throughout. He has shown nothing but loyalty, professionalism, and dedication. No matter what questions we’ve had or help we’ve needed, Ethan has always gone above and beyond to make sure everything is sorted. It’s clear he genuinely cares about making the experience the best it can be. We couldn’t be happier with our decision and would highly recommend Ethan to anyone thinking about buying a holiday home at Winkups or any of their sister sites. The service and support have been outstanding! Campsite is clean and has activity’s for all ages also.

Visitors say this static caravan park offers a variety of adventure events nearby and is brilliant for families, with a great indoor pool. They also highlight the helpful and professional sales team, especially Ethan, for assisting with caravan purchases.

Some reviews mention the service can be unhelpful.
