About Palins Holiday Park

Palins Holiday Park is an RV park in Kinmel Bay, near Rhyl, with showers, a pool, laundrette and on-site shop. The caravans are clean and the staff are welcoming. Entertainment runs regularly, and prices are competitive. The main drawback is that some facilities can fall short on maintenance.

The Magpie & Stump Bar & Restaurant is just up the road, and other pubs and eateries are within easy reach. Rhyl itself—a traditional seaside town with a beach, arcades, and amusement parks—is close by, making the park a practical base for a seaside break without needing to move on each night.

Booked an accessible gold caravan — both bedrooms were listed as accessible, but only the twin room actually was. In the double room, only one side of the bed was accessible, and the bathroom certainly wasn't, all though there was a spacious separate bedroom/ wetriim Overall, accessibility was pretty decent. The biggest letdown was cleanliness. The caravan wasn't clean, and while a bit of general wear (marks, scuffs) is expected, I'd be worried if this is the gold standard — what must the lower tiers be like? The pillows and duvets were stained and ripped, which isn't acceptable when you're paying for the stay. The fun pool is a good size, but when we booked the last slot of the day, staff strictly told us we had one minute left when the clock actually showed five minutes remaining. This left my disabled mum panicking, which felt uncalled for. Also, the changing facilities won't fit a standard-width wheelchair, so wheelchair users should be aware of this before booking. The Magpie pub was pretty decent, with friendly staff, though I did see one bar staff member appearing to sell tobacco in what looked like an under-the-counter transaction. Overall, it's fine if you want a very basic standard — but a proper clean-up would go a long way.

Great place. My auntie has a couple of vans on here. The rates are probably the best around. Beach 10 min walk. Loads to do. Good transport links also

We have been coming to Palins for around 5 years now with our young boys some years 2 or 3 times a year and have always had a great time untill this time. The site seems to be going down hill as there were a number of issues from traffic constantly ignoring the one way system around the site, the speed in which some were going and the parking of some vehicles was poor at best. There were young children playing outside up untill midnight on some occasions and we had to endure the constant unpleasnt aroma of some rather special tobacco. Also the van next to us left a lovely buffet out for the seagulls one morning which was shared all over the road.Apart from those issues the weather was great, pub and food was great the staff on site were brilliant and our van was exceptional. We will most likely be back in the future but this time was a let down for us.

I'm slightly Biased as I own my own Caravan on this site, superb place, plenty to do, amenities a plenty, walking distance to much much more, huge market right next door ( all though can cause traffic issues fir passers through ) Magpie and Stump on site ( Pub/Club ) Staff are simply superb, friendly and go above and beyond. Book a holiday, you will NOT be Disappointed,
