Mountain Meadow Cabins - Dol y Mynydd (The Mountain Meadow)
Conwy
View on Google MapsIn the foothills of Snowdonia, this handcrafted cabin sits within its own private wildflower garden, looking out over rolling landscape and Snowdon itself. The setting is genuinely remote—a place to settle in rather than dash out from—though villages with pubs, restaurants and shops are a short drive away. Betws y Coed, with its Alpine character and forest backdrop, lies a few miles down the road.
Dol y Mynydd is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom property sleeping two. Everything is on the ground floor: an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining and sitting areas, plus a bedroom with a kingsize bed and an ensuite shower room. Underfloor heating keeps it warm. Bed linen, towels and electricity are included. Outside, a garden with seating and a private hot tub faces the views; there is parking for one car on site.
This is good ground for walking and mountain biking—the national park has some of the UK's most scenic routes, and several lakes nearby offer both strenuous hikes and gentler paths. Fishing is possible at Llyn Brenig. The North Wales coast, including Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula, is within an hour's drive. The cabin does not permit smoking.
