The Barn at Gelli Newydd
Conwy
Trefriw sits in a valley between Conwy and Betws-y-Coed, surrounded by Snowdonia's hills and woodland. The Barn at Gelli Newydd occupies a hillside position above the village, where walking routes start from the gate and the Conwy valley spreads out below. The building itself is Welsh larch-clad stone, designed as a luxury conversion that keeps its barn character while delivering contemporary comfort throughout.
Three bedrooms and three bathrooms sleep seven, spread across two floors. Downstairs, a super-kingsize room with ensuite wet room sits alongside the open-plan living space—a large kitchen, dining area and lounge with woodburner and 50-inch smart TV. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. Upstairs are two more bedrooms: one with a zip-and-link super-kingsize (convertible to singles), one with three single beds suitable for children. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included; logs for the woodburner are provided. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.
Outside, the property has its own enclosed lawn with patio, garden furniture and barbecue, plus a private hot tub. Parking for three cars is provided. One dog is welcome. The grounds and bike store are shared with two other properties on the estate. Walking distance brings you to village pubs, a café and restaurant; the area suits families, groups and anyone wanting hill walks or access to Snowdonia's attractions. No smoking indoors.
