What visitors say
We stayed in the safari tents for a weekend. The tents are lovely and clean and great for an easy glamp experience.Wrlcone biscuits and some milk provided on arrival. You will need to bring firelighters matches and kindling for the bbq or fire. The site kindly provides wood but will need some stick to start. The site is wonderful and tidy, toilets etc are all clean and warm showers too. I only rated 4 stars due to the road and I was aware when this was booked but it is very loud and busy as its Summer. The safari tents are pitched right next to it. If you were in a van this would be less of a problem. Great stay. Thank you

We had a lovely four days here. Used the car to visit Gorran Haven and Caerhays. Also walked into Pentewan on the adjacent cycle path. Site was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would certainly use this site again.

Lovely campsite with great facilities, really friendly and helpful staff, pretty well stocked little shop, maps etc. The bus into mevaggisy and heligan gardens goes from right outside which is great.

As others say, a well laid out site with very clean, modern facilities. The owners are super friendly. A well stocked little shop. We had a few little negative experiences: My wife went for a shower in the afternoon, unfortunately she could not get the shower to run hot. We returned from a trip one afternoon and thought it would be nice to get an ice cream, sadly the shop was shut. Similar experience with the cafe, there were two staff there but we were told it wouldn't be open until Saturday. No indication of this on the website or site signage. Not the end of the world, but a shame. There is a bus stop almost immediately outside the site so can get to most anywhere. Great walk along the cycle way that runs alongside the site, with lovely woods where dogs can run off lead. Further to the owners response - we did not see signage about the new cafe opening date - lots of signage advertising the fact that the cafe was there. The 'lovely conversation' consisted of the staff saying no more than 'sorry, we're not open until Saturday' We knew when the shop was supposed to be open - the times are on the door. However, this particular afternoon the shop was shut with a piece of paper on the door saying that it was closed.
